Your luxury holiday to Oman will start in the glittering capital city of Muscat before journeying to the stunning Alila Jebel Akhdar resort, perched 2,000 metres above sea level with panoramic views of the Al Hajar.
Oman’s award-winning Six Senses resort, set in the revered Zighy Bay on the Musandam Peninsula, is the natural finale to your Ultimate holiday. Enjoy lazy days beside a warm sea and evenings spent strolling along a spotless beach beneath Oman’s star-studded sky.
MUSCAT
On arrival in Muscat, you will be met and escorted through the visa/immigration process in the Premium Plaza Lounge, before being privately transferred to your sumptuous hotel overlooking the glimmering waters of the Gulf of Oman.
With two gorgeous pools and its own private stretch of beach, this is the perfect place to recharge after a flight. It’s also a wonderful base from which to discover the treasures of Muscat, a city with a reputation for natural beauty and welcoming locals. From the historic old port area to the majestic Sultan’s Palace and magnificent forts of Jalali, Miran and Mutrah, there is plenty to discover. For souvenirs, head to the Qurum Area shopping district or bustling Old Mutrah Souq.

JEBEL AKHDAR
Leaving Muscat behind, you’ll now journey into the interior to reach the striking Alila Jabal Akhdar resort. Spectacularly located on a cliff-top overlooking the dramatic ‘Green Mountain’ gorge, this will be your base for exploring the rugged scenery, history and culture of Oman’s central Al Hajar Mountains.
When you’re not indulging in pampering spa treatments you could be out exploring the surrounding mountain trails on guided hiking excursions. You’ll be well placed for visits to historic and cultural treasures like Nizwa Fort, Jabreen Castle and the UNESCO-protected Bahla Fort, as well as tiny uninhabited villages and hidden caves. The area around the resort is used for growing walnuts, pomegranates and fragrant damask roses which are a pleasure to stroll through.

MUSANDAM PENINSULA
On day eight you’ll fly to Dubai and drive across the border to the Six Senses hideaway of Zighy Bay on the northern Musandam Peninsula.
